Product Troubleshooting

Possible Troubleshooting

To replace the cartridge:

  • Lift the cartridge straight up to remove it.
  • With the grooved side facing you, install the new cartridge.

  • Close the machine cover.
  • Print a test pattern to confirm that the ink cartridge has been installed properly (select the troubleshooting option for "Poor Print Quality" for more info).
If you receive a Low Ink (300 impressions left) or No Ink (needs to be replaced) message, the cartridge is nearing or has reached its end.

  • If the test pattern looks good and the lines are all solid, select Yes, Lines are unbroken and press the left arrow key to return to the home screen.
  • If the test pattern has missing or incomplete lines, select No, clean the print nozzle.
  • The “Cleaning Print Nozzle” screen will appear until the cleaning is finished.
  • Once the cleaning cycle is done, the “Print Test Pattern” screen will appear again.
  • Load an envelope or tape again and press Start or Tape.
  • If the test pattern still has broken or missing lines, the cartridge or printhead may need to be replaced.
  • If the test pattern is ok, press the left arrow key to return to the home screen.
